Practice
Lizzie is a dancer and choreographer. Her practice brings movement into dialogue with material, space and sound.
Trained in ballet, she went on to study dance choreography as an undergraduate, and works across contemporary dance, Chinese classical dance and Chinese folk dance. She is drawn to the process of making a work from nothing, and to the choices that emerge through rehearsal.
Her master’s study, still under way, has turned that interest towards reflection: why and how movement develops, and how material, space and sound can change the body’s decisions. Creation, research and teaching are connected parts of her developing practice.
Alongside making and performing, she teaches ballet to children.
